Beginner Upholstery Workshop- Dining Chair (1)

Beginner upholstery workshop is designed for anyone who's been curious about the process of reupholstering furniture. In this workshop we will go over various upholstery tools and how to use them, materials and supplies used daily in upholstery shops, talk about the types of sewing machines used before diving into our first project.

Supplies like dacron, staples, staple guns, staple removers, marking tools, measuring tools will be provided. Foam and fabric also included with an opportunity to pick from remnant materials at the workshop, otherwise purchasing 2 yards of fabric per student is recommended if youd like something specific.

We will practice webbing, foam cutting techniques, seat and back construction and a variety of upholstery techniques and finishes. Students may or may not finish their piece in the allotted time, additional workshop time may be discussed at the end of class.
