Slip Cover Services
A question we get often is "Do you do slip covers?" Yes, yes we do!
To obtain a quote please fill out our contact form or send an email to: Upholsterychic@gmail.com with photos and dimensions, as well as a description of the project. From there we will get you a labor quote and yardage request.
-Labor and fabric are billed separately as we can't know if someone will want $50/yd fabric or $200/yd fabric.
-Once the labor quote is approved, we will make an appointment for fabric selection.
after a fabric is selected was-e will write a formal invoice and take a deposit for the cost of the fabric only. ---Labor fees will be due upon completion and satisfaction with the work.
-We will work with customers who bring their own fabrics, please indicate that you have your own when submitting your quote request.
Depending if we are taking a new pattern or using the old, we will either schedule a day for the pattern maker to come do the work in house, or schedule a drop off of the old pattern.
The Process
The process for this varies:
-If there is an existing slip cover that's not in too bad of shape, hasn't been washed, or still fits well but is worn, we will take the old slip apart, use it as a pattern for the new one and discard the old.
-If no pattern exists, we make an appointment to come to your home to take a pattern. This usually takes about an hour with the pattern maker working in your home. The pattern is translated to the final fabric for the best fit. We prefer to work this way as it usually leads to the best fit.
-If any adjustments need to be made we will do a fitting and do the necessary work to perfect it.
